Cooperstown is located in the center of New York State, 70 miles west of Albany and 30 miles south of the New York State Thruway (I-90).
From the West or North:
Thruway Exit 30 (at Herkimer), south on Rte. 28 to Cooperstown.
OR
Thruway Exit 30 (at Herkimer), south on Rte. 28 to Rte. 20 East to Rte. 80 South to Cooperstown.
From the East or North:
Thruway Exit 25A, I-88 to Duanesburg, West on Rte. 20 to Rte. 80 South to Cooperstown.
From the South:
1-88 from Binghamton, Exit 17, Rte. 28 North to Cooperstown.
From the Southeast:
Thruway (I-87) North to Exit 21 (Catskill), to Rte. 23 West, to I-88 East, to Exit 17, Rte. 28 North to Cooperstown.

Thruway (I-87) North to I-90 West, to Exit 25A, onto I-88 West, to Exit 17, Rte. 28 North to Cooperstown.
