Wonderful place...everything you would want in a B&B stay. Owner Penny makes everything that is already excellent even better with her personal touch & friendliness. That must mean the place is perfect! May 2019

Although we've been baseball fans for life, we've never been to the HOF. Nelson Avenue Pines provides the perfect accommodations to remedy that. A quaint, meticulously maintained home on a quiet, tree-lined street, this cozy place has all necessary ingredients to explore all of Cooperstown within easy walking distance. Penny and Pam are wonderful hosts and could not have been more gracious. They have attended to all the details, so you don't have to, and a delicious, made-to-order breakfast starts each day off great! August 2019

We stayed one night. The room is comfortable and clean. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. This room has a private bathroom. If you need an iron, just ask. The owner let us check in early, because the room was ready. The owner is very nice. The breakfast was delicious. The owner served us a hot meal, plus blueberry muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit. I highly recommend this B&B. It's within walking distance to everything, including the Baseball Hall of Fame. June 2019

A long row of pine trees welcomed us up the driveway to the inn's free parking area. The car stayed here for most of our visit, thanks to the incredibly convenient location. We opted for open windows and a cool overnight breeze for our August stay, but the room had a well-functioning air conditioner. There was also a small fridge in the room which came in handy for re-freezing our ice packs for the cooler on the drive home. We were provided a key to lock our room when stepping out (though I was never concerned about theft, anyway). Penney and Pam were wonderful hostsWe would absolutely stay here again on future trips to Cooperstown.

"Nelson Avenue Pines in Cooperstown is the best kept secret in upstate NY. Penney's home is very welcoming, comfortable and spotless. Her gourmet breakfasts are heavenly and enjoying them on the front porch is like a step back in time. The Otesaga is right across the street and you can walk to the golf course and the Hall of Fame as well. Strongly recommend staying at this B&B. You won't be disappointed!"

Our summer wouldn't be complete without a visit to Penney at Nelson Ave Pines. We found the perfect place to stay during our annual visit where Penney and her assistant, Phyllis, make us feel like treasured friends. Not only is the Pines within walking distance to most attractions but it's also on a quiet, picture-perfect block which is an antidote to the NYC bustle where we live. The beautifully decorated rooms complement the exterior and are very comfortable. We are spoiled by the sumptuous breakfast Penney prepares every day and makes me wish she'd open a restaurant. Nelson Avenue Pines is a reason to make Cooperstown your destination. And there's also museums and a great opera company.
